A message from Kristin Cowden...
Many people ask the story behind Kris-10's Creations greeting cards. It is actually a delightful one to tell, because it is a reminder to me of how God is so very faithful! What He calls us to, He alone is faithful to complete. I welcome you on the journey, and invite you to partake in our Lord's goodness.
Company History
Kris-10's Creations began in 1995 with a simple desire to paint a line of greeting cards that I would want to send to friends. I wanted each card to represent the love of Christ with bright cheerful illustrations and simple encouraging words that spoke God's word!
Mission
You will find Ephesians 3:17-19 on the back of every card. I chose this scripture to be our theme verse and mission statement as we embarked forward as a business. My prayer is that each person who comes in contact with these cards would know the love of Christ. That each one would grasp how wide and long and deep and high is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge. To be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. As I look back at this passage, I am so humbled to see how God has allowed His word penetrate the hearts of His people through these cards.
If I were to change our theme verse, I would want to add verse 20 which says… “now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory forever and ever…! He has done immeasurably more than all I could have asked or imagined! To Him be the glory forever!
About Kristin
After graduating from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree, I was pursuing a career as a dietician. Little did I know at that time, God was closing one door, that he might open a new window of opportunity with a gift I had not yet discovered. My senior year at Baylor, I began painting cards for friends. I loved to send unique cards that were cheerful and encouraging yet spoke God's word. At the time, there were very few lines of greeting cards that targeted an audience like myself, that were Christian cards, but still fun and different! So, I decided to make my own!
God's Faithfulness
Well, years later I am excited to say, we have over 100 greeting cards, boxed cards, calendars, personalized stationery, imprintable invitations and Christmas cards. I have learned more than I thought possible about business, but most importantly I have learned that what God calls us to, He will enable us to do! I think of the story in the bible where God calls Moses to be a prophet. Moses thought… me? Are you sure Lord? Moses thought of every reason why he shouldn't do what God called him to, yet, God made it very clear that He would be with him, wherever he were to go! I can so relate to Moses! Yet God was faithful to me also, to assure me, that yes, He would be with me throughout this journey!
